Next Chrysler minivan spied inside and outThis One Could Be A PHEV
Chrysler isn't supposed to unveil the next-generation Town & Country until the 2016 Detroit Auto Show, but FCA is hard at work getting the minivan ready for launch. Our spies recently caught prototypes on the road and took copious photos of the interior and exterior, giving us an early idea what to expect from the future family-hauler.
These shots make it pretty clear that FCA's engineers aren't done working on the next T&C yet, and all of the camouflage on the outside makes any styling changes very difficult to spot. However, the company is testing the future version with a current one, and the new design appears to have harder angles.

One intriguing picture clearly shows the Dodge logo on the back of the minivan. The Dodge Grand Caravan is supposed to be killed off for 2016, though. We've also heard the next-generation minivan will get a plug-in hybrid variant, which was reportedly confirmed last week.
The interior is slightly less concealed than the outside, but development is still ongoing in there, too. It's easy to spot the familiar infotainment screen from other FCA products, and there's just a peek at the T&C's instrument cluster, including the design for the tachometer. A rotary dial gearshift also appears to be in the center console, similar to the Chrysler 200.
Even at this early stage, it appears that FCA is trying to take the next T&C a little more upmarket compared to the current iteration. The move fits well with earlier rumors of the price increasing for the future model.

I came to say the same thing. AFAIK, Windsor is still shut down, and even if they weren't I can bet no pilots have been down their line. This is a Durango that's been chopped and is nothing more than a test mule for probably new suspension, driveline, or other components. Note how the wheels don't even fit the body. The wheels are almost absolutely the same offset and height the production van's will wind up being, just stuffed under a current Durango chassis. The real reason this thing is camoed is probably just to cover up the insane seams and weld lines and nothing more. The "DODGE" peaking through the back is just to throw everyone off. Given that the reveal is almost a full year away my guess is that most of the exterior is completely tacked on. Even the interior... I mean, the center console is just hard plastic with pins/rivets. And what car needs 3 door lock pulls across the top window edge? I think they are testing engine/suspension stuff. The chassis is probably all new but the rest of the exterior and interior are miles from final.
So this is the Canadian version then. Sine FCA made the decision to keep the DODGE Caravan alive in Canada where it outsells the Town & Country 3 to 1, while going with only the Town & Country in the USA. Or, FCA changed their minds and will keep both versions in both markets. We'll all find out next year
Don't think so. It looks like they just used a Dodge body to hack up to make the mule. This appears to be nothing more than a development mule. It seems to be a current Grand Caravan with some of the upcoming minivan chassis and engine compartment bits grafted in (compare the roof line to the current van). The front end (or at least the grill openings) might be representative of the new minivan if you could see it, but I wouldn't put any stock in anything from the A pillar on back. If you look at the dash it is current issue Dodge just like you will find in the Grand Caravan and the Durango.
Perhaps they changed their mind about killing the Grand Caravan.
