The in-form England Under-21 international is currently enjoying a purple patch in front of goal for the north London club.
Kane, 21, has managed to find the back of the net on 11 occasions in just 19 matches in all competitions this season, two of which have come of late in the Premier League.
And now the frontman has revealed that the national team boss has been in contact regarding a possible promotion to the senior team.
“Roy [Hodgson] spoke to me the last time we met up at St George’s and he said to just keep going, getting my games and goals,” Kane told Soccer AM.
“Obviously he picks players on form and hopefully I can continue to do that until the next international break and then we will see what happens.”
Meanwhile, the Chingford-born Kane also spoke about his pride at playing for his hometown club.
“It’s special to be playing for Spurs and I am very happy at the minute,” added Kane. “I feel like my game is going well and hopefully I can keep it up, really push on and continue the form.
“I was buzzing of course after scoring my first-ever Spurs goal, to get my first goal in my first start was a very special moment for me and obviously one I won’t forget.
“It’s a good feeling when the Tottenham fans sing your name and I’m happy to be doing well and for them to be singing my name is very special.”
