It seems like Dan Bilzerian is finding it hard to stay out of trouble in the past week or so. Last weekend, he made headlines after allegedly kicking a women in the face at a nightclub in Miami. On Wednesday, he was arrested at Los Angeles International Airport on suspicion of possessing or manufacturing illegal explosive devices. However, charges against him were dropped and he released from jail early this morning according to buzzfeed.
Bilzerian, who claims to have won $50 million playing poker this year, posted the following picture on twitter following his release.

I do not know him personally... But what I have very cleverly done, is to form an opinion on him, based on his actions that have been reported... I don't know Fred West or Ted Bundy personally, but using the information I know about them, I can take a pretty good guess that they're not nice people.

I have followed the exploits of Mr. Bilzarian since his days with Victory Poker and his initial appearance at the WSOP Main Event with his brother. He is consistently funny, entertaining and irreverent. Attributes which are unicorn rare and very much lacking in the modern politically correct world of easily offended foppish imbeciles we currently inhabit. I will remind you all of the Hitchens line and I am paraphrasing " ...being offended is not an argument." One day some of you will understand the virtues of humor and sarcasm, maybe. If you had been paying attention you would have realized that the guy is having a good time and he doesn't care what people think about it. This guy is a self confessed asshole, who is now famous on social media for posting pictures of living what appears to be a bad ass mother f*cking lifestyle. He mightn't be anything without his inherited money, but it seems that he is doing what most of us wish we could, grabbing life by the balls and not letting go. To some people, grabbing life by the balls could mean raising a family, buying a house, living in their desired country. But it seems to this guy (and I'm going to assume A LOT if people) it would seem that grabbing life by the balls is blowing shit up, throwing money hand over fist at people to sleep with as many stunning women he can, party like its 1999, and gamble. There are many people who live this lifestyle, and have done SO much worse. Why are we bashing this guy? What about all the other trust fund babies that do the same thing?
He mightn't be perfect but it appears that morally inept people (particularly women) are prepared to sacrifice their dignity to have their 2 minutes of social media fame, which is BOUND to eventually get someone into trouble. You don't know why he kicked her, and granted, he's an asshole for doing it, but people in the exact same boat (literally) have done worse to get to where he is, and much worse once they get there. You just don't hear about it. He doesn't represent the poker world (despite what people may think), he's just an asshole with a social media following for living his life to the maximum that he sees fit to live it to.
Also, you haven't heard of his poker exploits because most of the highest stakes poker games to completely undocumented. I bet you couldn't name 90% of the people who sit down at HS tables in Macau.
